Know Your Rights is a public information project of the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL), designed to inform people in clear and accessible language about their rights under various key areas of the law in Ireland.
Know Your Rights – European Convention on Human Rights is the third in a series of packs designed to inform people about their rights. The pack provides the public with information about the rights and freedoms protected by the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), Ireland’s 2003 European Convention on Human Rights Act, and how to take a case to the European court of Human Rights. The pack has been written in everyday language and has been approved for plain English by the National Adult Literacy Agency.
